How to Discover Your True Nature 🌿
There’s a story many of us have inherited: that who we are is something to be earned.
That our true self lives somewhere out there, waiting at the end of a career path, in raising a family or having a highly disciplined spiritual practice. We’re taught to chase it, shape it, work for it, but the truth is much simpler.
Your true nature isn’t something you discover, it’s something you remember.
It’s the pulse that has always been underneath the noise. It’s the part of you that breathes deeper around trees, that sighs in relief when you stop trying so hard.
I've discovered time and time again that the journey back to your true self is not linear and it’s rarely tidy. It means gently letting go of old roles. The good girl. The achiever. The strong one. The one who keeps it all together.
At times in my life I've found it hard to love this one underneath. She goes against the social script and feels unfamiliar at first. But with enough nurturing I've found that she is truer than anything we've been told to be and brings more gifts into our lives than we could imagine.
This is the pulse behind everything we do at True Nature.
Through our retreats and gatherings, we create space to remember who you are when you stop trying to be everything else.
As you reconnect with the natural world, you begin to feel it: you’re not separate from this earth, but a thread in its great weaving. From that sense of belonging, your relationships deepen. With yourself. With others. With life.
And in that remembering, healing begins. Quietly. Powerfully. Together.
Why It Matters
It’s easy to think this journey is navel gazing while the world is in crisis.
But the truth is, the world needs us home in ourselves. We are in a time of deep disconnection. From land, from each other, from the body.
We've built systems that reward numbness and call it strength.
But the earth is calling us back. Back to feeling. Back to truth. Back to what’s real.
When we reconnect with our true nature, we begin to move differently in the world. We make choices with heart. We become less reactive, more rooted. We speak up, slow down, hold space.
This is not soft work. It’s strong work.
It takes courage to live from the body, the heart, the soul. Especially in a culture that tells us to override them all.
But when we do, we become anchors. Lighthouses. Medicine for others.
Join Us
If you're feeling the call to unearth a deeper part of yourself - you don't need to do it alone.
Over the past five years we've skilfully crafted spaces for you to let go of all the to-do lists you are juggling, the plates you are spinning, and get close enough to yourself and others to remember.
These are not places to escape or relax only to return home to the same dynamics. They are connecting to the deep work of the soul and letting go of the emotional sludge that's been building up so that you can't start to feel more alive again.
We have two retreats coming up and would love for you to join us!
